the love season

It’s exciting times here at tell-all records, as our 2006 release schedule officially kicks off with Scott Solter’s One River. The discs are finally back from the manufacturer, and they look sooooo beautiful. The official release date won’t be for a little while longer, but if you want to own this wonderful album now, you can order it directly from us here.

This month’s EP series release will also be from Scott, who’s be providing us with the note “G-flat.” We haven’t heard it yet, but we expect fantastic things from this fantastic man.

In press news, Tiny Mix Tapes wrote a cool piece that pits tell-all’s The Kallikak Family against The Akron Family, and also mentions our EP series “Twelve.” It’s so cool that we can forgive them for calling us “shmoopy”… unless maybe shmoopy is a compliment. Dammit, I feel like an old man.

Tell-all’s Liam Singer is in the finishing stages of his newest release, which we expect to have out in April. Liam will also be composing the music for the April installment of San Francisco’s “GO,” a monthly event that teams together a visual artist, writer, and musician - we’ll make sure to post more info about this event as it approaches.

Several TAR artists will be playing live shows around the Bay Area in April… Liam, Dave Zohrob, and Keith Negley’s band Snowdrift will perform on the 9th at the make-out room, and a soon-to-be confirmed tell-all showcase will be happening later that month.

In other news, some people had some nice things to say about May 23rd 2007. PopMatters, Delusions of Adequacy, and woebot all weigh in. Serious stuff.

As always, thanks for your interest, and for listening. Happy Valentines day… or as we call it around here, “the love season.”
