Brian Harnetty is a sound artist and composer from Ohio, whose work involves in-between and overlooked elements of sound. Many of his pieces transform fragments of found source material––including field recordings, transcriptions and samples––into a personal and often political style. His music has been performed in Europe and America in many formats, from sound installations to chamber orchestra. He is currently working with the Fossil Fools art collective, creating work based on energy-related issues.
